AO Health - Terms of Service

1. Provider & About AO Health

The AO Health service is operated by:

("we", "us", "the Company")

AO Health ("AO") is a product and trademark of Gradient Zero Deutschland GmbH. AO operates a digital longevity ecosystem including the AO Health mobile application, the AO Longevity Platform, the AO Science Hub, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. The Service is intended for motivated adults seeking evidence-based lifestyle guidance.

4. Account & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your master password and personal encryption key (PEK). AO operates on a Zero Knowledge principle -- we cannot recover your encryption keys. If you lose them, your encrypted data may become permanently inaccessible.

5. Subscription & Payments

AO offers multiple subscription tiers:

  • Free -- Basic habit tracking and standard evidence-based content.
  • Premium (paid monthly) -- Advanced recommendations, educational content, community features, AI-powered Evidence Intelligence access, and wearable integrations.
  • Concierge (paid monthly) -- Personalized longevity roadmap, 1:1 check-ins, and premium community access.

Prices are displayed before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds are governed by applicable consumer protection law.

6. Nature of the Service -- No Medical Advice

AO provides evidence-based health information graded using scientific methodology (GRADE). The Service does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content is educational and informational. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making health decisions. AO is not a substitute for professional medical care.

7. Evidence Intelligence Engine

AO's proprietary Evidence Intelligence Engine produces quality-controlled, evidence-graded health information using AI with human-in-the-loop oversight. While we strive for accuracy, scientific understanding evolves. AO does not guarantee that any recommendation will produce specific health outcomes.

8. User Content & Community

When participating in the AO Community, you agree not to post unlawful, misleading, or harmful content. AO may remove content that violates these terms. You retain ownership of your content but grant AO a limited license to display it within the Service.

9. Data Donation (Opt-In)

AO may offer the option to voluntarily donate anonymized health data for aging research. This is strictly opt-in and governed separately under our Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time.

10. Certified Partners & Marketplace

AO may connect users with AO Certified Coaches, trainers, nutritionists, and partner services. These partners are independent professionals. AO is not liable for the advice, services, or products provided by third parties.

11. Intellectual Property

All AO content, the Evidence Intelligence Engine, the AO Ageing Clock, branding, and software are the intellectual property of Gradient Zero Deutschland GmbH. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AO is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. AO's total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. AO may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your encrypted data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Disputes shall be resolved before the competent courts in Germany, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
